            Institute of Sociological Studies (ISS) is a part of the Faculty of Social Sciences (FSS) 

            University. The mission of ISS integrates two primary functions:
            • to educate university graduated specialists in the fields of sociology, social policy an
            • to develop scientific activity in the fields mentioned above.

            • advanced research methodology in social sciences (qualitative & quantitative);

            • research of forming and implementation of public policy and public administration in the
            • analysis of development of social policy in the Czech Republic by an international compa

            • history of and current trends in sociological theory;
            • communication research, research of attitudes and public opinion;
            • social construction of identities (individual & collective);

            • solidarity and social justice research.
