Step 2018

STEP 2018

The Language Centre at FSV UK organized the second annual competition in STudent English Presentations - STEP. It was held on Wednesday 11th April in Jinonice.

This event aimed at connecting students of all institutes, including international students, giving them an opportunity to become acquainted with the topics of individual study fields, to apply their presentation skills and to use English as a means of communication in a semi-formal environment.

Unlike the first year, this year’s STEP was non-competitive. English teachers Marcela Staňková, Kamila Panešová and Lucie Poslušná provided the presenters with their brief feedback on language and presentation skills. The expert panel composed of Markéta Zezulková (ICS),  Michal Červinka (IES), Michal Parízek (IPS) were the main debaters and commented on the content. All the presenters received a written analysis of their performances according to the detailed language and presentation criteria and additional financial reward.

Jan Lucián Jeřábek from Institute of Communication Studies and Journalism was awarded the Audience Choice prize.
