  • Change in FSV UK opening hours of libraries and reading rooms on 13 May 2026

    On Wednesday, 13 May 2026, the library in Jinonice and Opletalova will be closed as part of the Rector's Sports Day. The night reading room in Jinonice will be open from 09:00 to 24:00. You can also use the reading room in Opletalova Street between 08:00 and 20:00.

Alongside this, she has long worked on making research accessible to undergraduate students.     On Tuesday, 14 April 2026, during the Academic Senate FSV UK meeting, the Golden Courses for the best courses of the Winter Semester 2025/2026 according to the student evaluation were awarded to the lecturers. The award is accompanied by financial reward. Congratulations to all recipients! 
  • Seminar for PhD students by Prof. Kennan Ferguson

    Join a seminar "Academic Publishing in Political Science: Concepts, Strategies, Audiences" by Prof. Kennan Ferguson, Fulbright Distinguished Scholar visiting at IPS FSV UK. The seminar takes place on 23 April 2026 from 12:30 in room C520 in the Jinonice Campus. It is aimed at PhD students and students of all institutes can attend.
  • Apply for EU TalentOn 2026 scientific competition

    EU TalentOn is a five-day European scientific competition bringing together early-career researchers (aged 21–35) from across Europe. EU TalentOn will take place from 7 to 11 September 2026 in Brest, France. Participants will take part in an intensive programme of coaching, workshops and networking activities. Travel, accommodation and meals are fully covered, and a total of €80,000 in prizes will be awarded. Applications close on 30 April 2026.
  • May in Motion staff challenge

    The Wellbeing Working Group and the Sustainability Working Group have prepared the May in Motion challenge for all FSV UK employees. Both individuals and teams of faculty employees can participate in the challenge. You can compete from 1 to 31 May 2026 in up to four categories – walking, running, swimming and cycling.
