Assistant Professor for the Department of Political Science

The Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University is looking for an Assistant Professor for the Department of Political Science at the Institute of Political Studies.

 

Job description:

  • conducting lectures and seminars
  • own research and grant activities
  • serving on examination committees
  • supervising students and assessing students work

 

We require:

  • university degree in political science
  • Master's degree, ideally a Ph.D. or a doctoral degree in progress
  • experience in teaching and research
  • organisational and communication experience
  • focus on political economy, philosophical problems of economics (interdisciplinary profile preferred)
  • excellent knowledge of the English language in spoken and written form
  • excellent knowledge of Czech at a professional communication level

  • workload of 1 (40 hours per week) 
  • expected start 1st September 2024
