2nd Walailak University Cultural Camp 2018 - Thailand

It is our great pleasure to introduce the 2nd Walailak University Cultural Camp 2018 (WUCC2018) in the theme of “In Honour of HRH Princess Chulabhorn Walailak: Cultures without Borders”. The camp will be held between 16th - 23rd June 2018 at Walailak University, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province and Bangkok, Thailand. 

WUCC2018 aims to promote a global students’ network among 160 international participants (100 non-Thai citizens and 60 Thai students from Walailak University). Throughout the 8-day program, the camp participants will have the opportunity to explore Nakhon Si Tammarat Province, the historical city on the eastern part of southern Thailand, and Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand, exchange cultures, engage in various activities among global youth and enjoy every moment together.

The camp participants will only be responsible for:

  • Accident and health insurance

West Virginia University, John D. Rockefeller IV School of Policy and Politics, Department of Public Administration (WV, USA) and gLAWcal – Global Law Initiatives for Sustainable Development (United Kingdom) have set up a Summer Institute in China – Executive Education Training Program to be held in Beijing (China) with two parallel curricula.

The four-week program will be held in Beijing (China) from July 7 to August 4, 2018.

This program is organized in partnership with University of Calgary Law School (Canada), Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (Spain), Catholic University of Milan Faculty of Law (Italy), University of Eastern Piedmont Faculty of Economics (Italy), University of Pavia, Faculty of Law (Italy), University of Verona, Department of Law (Italy), and Utrecht University (Netherlands).  

The Program includes TWO PARALLEL CURRICULA:

The first curriculum is called “Summer Institute on Climate Change, Energy and Environmental Protection” (SICCEP) or more precisely Law, Policy, Economics and Technology on Climate Change and Environmental issues. It addresses issues such as energy policies, environmental law and sustainable development, intellectual property and technology innovation. The second curriculum is called “Summer Institute on Intellectual Property Rights and China” (IP-China).

This program is multidisciplinary and is aimed at students, young graduates and senior professionals with a background in law, political sciences, international relations, philosophy, economics, environmental sciences, engineering and any other relevant discipline that can be related to the topics of the program.

The Paul Robitschek Scholarship

The annual scholarship is intended for Czech and Slovak university students, who undergo two-year study at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (Nebraska, USA).

The scholarship covers:

  • Travel from the Czech Republic to the United States (Lincoln, Nebraska)
  • Tuition, room and board, books and fees for one academic year
  • Return travel to the Czech Republic
  • Web University: University of Nebraska, Lincoln

An excellent knowledge of English language is required, and a willingness to communicate with the program coordinator and to work part-time at the campus of the university to provide for personal needs.

The candidate must prove sufficient academic competence and interest in political, economic and cultural events in the USA.

We would like to inform you about the offer received from the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (Federal Republic of Germany) by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports concerning the offer of free study.

Degree Program: Master of Arts (M.A.) - British Studies

The study is intended for graduates of all colleges with very good knowledge of English. The study begins with the winter semester 2018 (from October 2018) and includes seminars on British law, economics, politics, history, literature and culture. Interdisciplinary studies include three-month compulsory practice in Great Britain, drafting the final thesis, project seminars and a variety of activities in collaboration with international lecturers. All seminars are in English. Studying is free.
